North Carolina Alcohol Addiction Treatment

Personalized & Holistic Approach to Recovery

No matter how bad the situation may seem, there is a way to start life anew after getting treated for alcohol addiction. At October Road, we have a comprehensive program for alcohol treatment that emphasizes personalized care and treating the whole patient in mind, body, and spirit.

Alcohol addiction, also known as alcohol use disorder, is a very common problem in the United States. In 2015, the National Survey on Drug and Health estimated that over 15 million adults in the United States suffered from alcohol use disorder, and more than half of those afflicted were men. The symptoms of alcohol addiction may be subtle at first. It is important to monitor your drinking habits and remain vigilant for the warning signs.

Symptoms of alcohol addiction may include:

  • Drinking more than you intended to
  • Difficulty performing at work or school due to alcohol use
  • Spending many days sick or hungover
  • Continuing to drink even after it causes health problems
  • Continuing to drink even after it causes problems in relationships
  • Drinking by yourself because you don’t want others to know you’re drinking
  • Growing irritated or agitated when unable to drink
  • Losing interest in hobbies you once enjoyed because you’d rather drink

If these symptoms sound familiar, speak with an addiction specialist today. It is never too late or too early to seek help. You can find October Road clinics in Asheville and Charlotte.

Developing Your Care Plan

All clients of October Road spend their first appointment undergoing a Comprehensive Care Assessment with a master-level licensed clinician. The results of this assessment will help us determine the level of care you need so that we can start developing your personalized treatment plan.

Depending on a patient’s needs, they may participate as an outpatient or inpatient at one of our facilities. Patients usually begin as an outpatient if they have already completed an inpatient program somewhere else and are ready to continue their recovery in the outside world. Patients in our residential program are also typically referred to the outpatient program once the inpatient phase of their treatment has concluded.
