North Carolina Methadone Program

Methadone Treatment Helps Clients Recover from Opioid Dependence

We offer Methadone treatment as part of our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) services.

Methadone is a schedule II synthetic opioid that treats cravings and alleviates withdrawal symptoms from opioid addiction without producing euphoria, allowing the individual to focus on recovery. At October Road, we believe that the combination of medication, education and therapy is the most effective method of treatment for those who are dependent on opioids.

During this program, clients will learn about the challenges of addiction and how to positively restructure their life.

OTP treatment services include:

  • Assessments
  • Group support
  • Individual therapy
  • Medication management
  • Educational lectures
  • Family programming
  • Individualized treatment planning
  • Case management

Our OTP program is provided by licensed clinicians and physicians who meet all state requirements for their respective positions. In addition to Methadone, Suboxone, Subutex and Vivitrol are administered at our Asheville facility, based on the client’s clinical needs. North Carolina Medicaid covers methadone under Managed Care (MC) plans.

Asheville dosing hours are Monday through Friday 5:30am to 10:30am and Saturday 6:30am to 9:00am. The Methadone Clinic is located in Suite E in our Asheville location.
